Barack Obama is No Failure

When Rush Limbaugh said of Barack Obama, "I hope he fails," everyone assumed that he wanted Obama's policies to make him so unpopular that in 2012 the electorate would overwhelmingly vote to make him the most unambiguous one-termer since Jimmy Carter. As he approaches the half-way point of that one term, Obama does, indeed, seem hell-bent on serving only four years in office — but the word "failure" may not apply to this man after all.

Glenn Beck’s "Restoring Honor" a huge success

America's faithful gathered with the unified mission to Restore Honor within ourselves and our nation. From the steps of the Abraham Lincoln Monument all the way past the World War II Memorial they gathered, straining to hear as numbers exceeded all hopes. Crowd estimates range from 500,000 to over a million as Beck spoke of God and family, of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Between a mix of Gospel and patriotic songs and speakers stood Martin Luther King Jr's niece, Dr. Alveda King, who bravely spoke in spite of threats and great risk.

The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion states: "For God and Country we associate ourselves together for the following purposes: To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism; to preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses; to make right the master of might; to promote peace and good will on earth; to safeguard and transmit to Posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy; to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness."

When America was God's Country

The United States of America is a vast melting pot of many people of different origins and religions….And, thank God, we are still free to worship at the church, synagogue or mosque of our choice as our nation celebrates her 234th birthday as an American-Christian Republic.

Classic Monster Politics

What do Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney and Lon Chaney Jr. have in common? They are forever known as the faces of the classic monsters Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, Phantom of the Opera, and the Wolf Man. Whether you were frightened by these classic representations or the continual evolutionary adaptations that have followed, we all know these monsters when we see them and we all do the same thing when they are thrust into our faces: we take a big step back.

The Ground Zero Mosque & The War of Ideas

The controversy surrounding the Park 51/Cordoba House project – promoted by the Cordoba Initiative and headed by Feisal Abdul Rauf – is one that illustrates the full range of the ideological clash between the Islamic culture and the culture of the West. Whether Liberals, Progressives and apologists care to admit it or not the fundamentalist Islamist factions of the Arab world are actively attempting to advance their influence on the world; in every nation and every culture. In their attempt at establishing an elevated influence around the world this fundamentalist faction seeks not to be accepted as equals or to assimilate, but to enter into foreign cultures as a privileged and exempt class. The issue of the Park 51 Project – from this point forward referred to by its original label, the Cordoba House – is a perfect example of one particular battle theater in this culture clash: the war of ideas.

Questioning with boldness: Which is it Glenn, are you a Mormon or a Christian? Part 1

This article needs to be written. I have to admit that I hate doing it because I've been a Glenn Beck supporter for well over a year now. But, alas, my support has waned. Like millions of others I tune in to watch the megastar's TV show almost nightly, listen to his radio broadcast on occasion, and I've bought a couple of his books.

The PCUSA: Not Christian Anymore

What would you think if you walked into a public hall, expecting to see a Christian worship service, and saw people prancing around in animal costumes?

Ground Zero Mosque: Beyond insensitive, it is insulting

If carried to extremes the new drive toward tolerance can be just another name for perversion. The old adage about “adding insult to injury” has become an American reality under the divisive policies and socialistic leanings of the Obama administration.

Despite Media, Public Sees Truth About Obama

Jake Tapper of ABC News had, until recently, struck me as a fairly straight shooter. He's no Brit Hume, Major Garrett or Brett Baer, by any means, but during his tenure as host of ABC's "This Week" (the program started by the legendary David Brinkley and later turned into a partisan Democrat vehicle by former Clinton hack George Stephanopoulos), Tapper seemed to be aiming for something approaching the fairness of the late Tim Russert.
