I Wonder ...

I wonder if any journalists have been fired for saying that people with rosaries who wear crucifixes scare them. I also tend to wonder if any Muslim people have been punished by any state government for specifically requesting a Muslim roommate. The other day I was wondering if any state official is pushing legislation stating that any threats against Christians or mockery of Christian symbols, images, or Sacred Persons should be considered hate speech worthy of heavy fines or jail time.

JOY To The Right!

Anyone feeling anguish about the present course of this country should not lose hope. Certainly the present polls showing the growing disfavor against the Left led by Obama, Pelosi, and their ilk should bring some measure of confidence and hope among conservatives. Clearly, anyone listening to liberal empty heads like Boxer, Reid, and Pelosi should gain a measure of hope that sensible Americans ears to hear, eyes to see, a brain to think, and one hand to pull a voting lever will stop this rampant hypocrisy, pandemic absurdity, and widespread corruption that calls itself the Democratic Party.

A Tale of Two Apathies

Posted in: Gabriel Garnica
Recent news of Barack Obama's frustration with what he calls the "inexcusable" Democratic voter apathy that threatens his party's hold in Congress combined with news that most Americans are religious illiterates provides an interesting irony at a time when both situations underlie profound realities.

Since BHO Prefers to Omit God, Let's Vote to Omit Him From The Next Inauguration Day!

On September 17, Barack Obama gave a speech at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institue 33rd Annual Award Gala in which, reading from a telemprompter, he quoted from the Declaration of Independence. Given his record of trampling over such things as the Constitution whenever convenient, one should be amused whenever BHO quotes any document even remotely associated with our Founders.

Miss Australia “Missed” The Point

I do not usually write about beauty pageants, but I found the outcome of this year's Miss Universe Pageant too amusing to ignore. Jesinta Campbell of Australia has claimed that her festive national dress was tampered with in a “sabotage” attempt, but this Miss from down under need not look any further for sabotage than the supposedly key final question of the pageant, where each of the final five contestants chooses the name of a judge at random and attempts to answer that judge's question. We assume that this final part of the pageant is some lame attempt to inject a bit of cerebral validity to the proceedings, lest anyone think that this event is all beauty and no brains. I say “lame” because we all know that some of these questions and most of those answers are as superficial as can be, if not downright pathetic or even embarrassing.

Age of Obama Is Time for Contrition, But Obama and The Times Should Be Contrite, Not Pope Benedict

It's Holy Week. so the anti-Catholic The New York Times posted a hit piece titled "A Time for Contrition" by Ross Douthat.

Tebow ad flap and result merely prove how pathetic pro-abortion groups are

Posted in: Gabriel Garnica
All we heard amid the Super Bowl buildup is how the ad by Focus on The Family featuring Tim Tebow and his mother was an outrageous attempt to hijack America's showcase sporting event to push a political and religious agenda. Liberal mainstream media ( sorry for the unnecessary use of an adjective) outlets whined how this game was no place to jam a pro-life message down throats more interested in eating chips and salsa or cheering a favored team.

When It Comes To The Sanctity of Life, Obama & The Democrats Burn The Candle at Both Ends

If there are two things one can count on Barack Obama and his minions to exhibit, it is a complete disregard for the truth and a similar disregard for the sanctity of human life.

Sotomayor Flap Once Again Proves That Liberal Hypocrisy is Best Served with Whine and Sleaze

Barack Obama goes on and on about promoting unity and reducing divisive talk. He chose Sonia Sotomayor, whose complete 2001 Berkeley words were:

"Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences, a possibility I abhor less or discount less than my colleague Judge (Miriam) Cedarbaum, our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging. Justice (Sandra Day) O'Connor has often been cited as saying that a wise old man and wise old woman will reach the same conclusion in deciding cases. I am … not so sure that I agree with the statement… I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

The Fighting Irish Have Been Fighting The Church for a Long Time

When Pilate asked Christ if he were really a king, Christ answered him: (John 18:37-38) "You say I am a king. For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."
