Obama's flaunting of rule of law

Posted in: Guest Commentary

No doubt most have been exposed, during the non-stop coverage of Hurricane Irene as it traversed up the east coast, to Obama's furrowed brow and look of worry; to him being portrayed, both by his own words and the mainstream media cameras and reporters hanging on his every word, as someone oh so concerned for the American people as Hurricane Irene moved north.

Spreading "Big Oil subsidy" disinformation

Every American manufacturing company gets tax deductions that help it create jobs and strengthen our economy – whether it produces newspapers, furniture, cars or fuel. Eliminating those deductions would increase unemployment and further slow our nation's desperately needed economic recovery.

“CLOUD” Matters

CHURCHVILLE, VA—Regular readers of this column will recall our prediction (July 19th) of a climate debate bombshell in the form of Denmark's Henrik Svensmarks' theory on clouds, cosmic rays and the earth's temperature standing up to intensive laboratory scrutiny. We also predicted that the results would not be welcomed those who have a vested interest in man-made warming.

Johns Hopkins Hospital Supports Pedophilia?

The sexual molestation of children by adults is a serious issue. This is why I was appalled when I discovered a prestigious professor at Johns Hopkins University was an open advocate of -- apologist for – pedophiles and pederasts (adults who have sexual relations with post-pubescent children).

Did Hedge Funds Throw the 2008 Election?

Posted in: Guest Commentary

Hedge fund traders had a great year in 2008. That year, hedge fund short sellers were instrumental in the spike in fuel prices, the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, the banking crisis, and the stock market collapse. While extremely wealthy hedge fund traders engineered each of these calamities, and made billions of more dollars short selling each one, the American people collectively lost trillions of dollars in the value of their homes and savings.

Buffett a Kinder, Gentler Soros

It is one of the great political lies of modern American life that the ultra-wealthy are all conservative Republicans. If only it were true. Take Warren Buffett, for instance. He is one of the wealthiest men in the world, with a personal fortune estimated at approximately $50 billion. He has been an investor for six decades. As a businessman, you would think he was conservative. Well, you would be wrong.

‘Pride’ vs. Patriotism

To the modern Democratic National Committee, the mainstream media and other “progressive” outfits such as the American Civil Liberties Union and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the words “patriot” and “patriotism” have become synonymous with “right-wing extremism.”

Climate prostitutes, charlatans and comedians

Put these guys on Comedy Central. Put ‘em in an asylum … a mandatory restitution program … jail perhaps … or a witness protection program, if they turn state's evidence on other perpetrators. But keep them away from our money – and our energy, economic, healthcare and education policies.

The China Threat

There is a bear in the woods. For some people, the bear is easy to see. Others don't see it at all. Some people say the bear is tame. Others say it's vicious and dangerous. Since no one can really be sure who's right, isn't it smart to be as strong as the bear? If there is a bear?

Obama: From Truman's Whistle-Stop to Wilsonian Folly

President Obama's tour through the Midwest in a coal-black Darth Vader-mobile begs comparison with past presidential excursions. I'm thinking of those made by presidents Harry Truman and Woodrow Wilson.
