As most of you have heard by now, on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, Amazon.com freely and willfully started promoting the leftist idiocy, madness and violence of Al Franken and his new book via a so-called promotional video. This is the same Al Franken who recently joked about executing President Bush, Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, with absolutely no backlash from the leftist media, which gave Bill Clinton a free pass.
Over the last several years, Frankens primary target has been us conservatives and Fox News especially Bill OReilly. Franken has not only told blatantly pathological lies about Fox News, he has also viciously and systematically smeared OReilly.
According to the Media Research Center (MRC)s Newsbusters.org, in this new promotional video (http://newsbusters.org/node/2457), which is supposedly a comedy skit, after one of Frankens visitors tells him hes a self-professed right-wing jerk, Franken angrily knees him in the groin.
While this man buckles in pain, Franken takes a stool and breaks it over this mans back. Then, as this man proceeds to fall to the ground, a fan (portrayed by Frankens producer, Ben Wikler) smashes a bottle over the self-professed right-wing jerks head.
Hmmm ... Violence against those with whom you disagree? Newsbusters.orgs Dave Pierre wrote about the incident.
Question: Would a Sean Hannity or Bill OReilly ever get away with a publicity video like this without an outrage in the liberal media? (Not that they would ever produce anything similar to this, but to pose the question ...)
News about this violent skit comes on the heels of this Newsbusters post by Brent Baker which reported that Franken joked on the Late Show With David Letterman about the execution for treason of Rove, Libby, and President Bush.
Is a theme of violence emerging in Franken's work?
By promoting this kind of uncontrolled violence towards conservatives, Amazon.com is advancing the Lefts tyranny against those of us on the Right that they dont agree with, which may seriously threaten a wide customer base if this promotional video isnt removed from the Amazon.com Web site.
The management and investors at Amazon.com need to know that such openly demonstrative behavior towards conservatives is insulting, degrading and sends a very disturbing message to current and future customers that conservatives are not welcomed, nor tolerated, at Amazon.com.
Moreover, Amazon.com is essentially giving tacit, if not active, consent to what would be considered a hate crime if this were to happen to those on the Left, which also shows a stalk double standard.
Although the final decision is yours, please call and/or send an e-mail to the following individuals and let them know your concerns about the violent nature of the promotional video:
Tim Stone, 206-266-2171
Amazon.com Investor Relations
[email protected] or www.amazon.com/ir
Patty Smith, 206-266-7180
Amazon.com Public Relations
Mr. Stone and Ms. Smith need to know that Mr. Frankens promotional video is deeply offensive to us conservatives and reflects poorly on Amazon.com, which is an otherwise invaluable and professional online bookseller.
If enough of us conservatives let our voices be heard, we could possibly right this wrong especially since the mainstream media likely will not.
After all, if the situation were reversed, the outrage from the mainstream media would be fast, swift and rabidly loud.
But thats what separates conservatives from those on the Left: This would more than likely never happen because, unlike the Left, we are descent and far more tolerable to those on the Left who so vehemently hate us with a vengeance.
Bottom line: We need to hold Mr. Franken and Amazon.com accountable for their irresponsibility, unfairness and discrimination against conservatives.
Thank you, my fellow conservatives.
