Is Egypt fooling world leaders by being coy and quiet? Could very well be.

That’s the opinion of not only Israeli leadership but others, including the United States. Egypt all the while wears the gentleman’s face. However, can Egypt truly be trusted in anything when it has been discovered that Egypt supplies weaponry to Gaza Strip Palestinians just as surely as Syria does to Hizbullah, according to Arutz Sheva / InternationalNationalNews.com.

Egypt also was instrumental in supplying weapons to Saddam Hussein. Iraq used those means by which to slaughter thousands.

"The UN inspectors say their findings were confirmed over and over again by hard evidence and ‘frank and honest Egyptian scientists.’ They say they never announced the Egyptian connection in order to maintain Egyptian cooperation in future investigations.

"Some Israeli officials have long warned against Israeli indifference to Egypt's stockpiling of dangerous weapons. Egypt plays the cool game. Its leadership maintains cordial contact with free countries as well as despotic regimes. Egyptian leadership has kept up a civil appearance while dealing underhanded against Israel, some believe for Israel’s eventual destruction.

"The estimated amounts of arms and explosives smuggled in to Gaza in the past four years are: 2,000 kilograms of explosives, 6,700 Kalachnikov rifles (including 5,000 since 2003), 750 anti-tank shell launchers, 33 mortars, 18 submachine guns, 5 anti-aircraft missiles, 580,000 bullets, and dozens of rocket propelled grenades(RPGs)."

How then can Egypt be trusted by anybody championing democracy planting worldwide? How can any free nation genuinely trust Egypt in the Bush administration’s freedom spread?

Egypt supported Hussein in chemical weaponry. And this is according to the US CIA report. Poison gas was manufactured by Egyptian specialists for Iraqi use. Hussein implemented that to gas Iranians and Kurds. Egypt received $12 million from Iraq in the deal. Egypt also provided necessary "consultation, technology and oversight" concerning the materials.

"Iraqis used mustard gas, sarin and other chemical agents against the Iranians during the lengthy Iran-Iraq war. In 1988, Iraqi aircraft dropped sarin and mustard gas on Iranian-held villages in Iraqi Kurdistan, killing up to 5,000 Iraqi Kurdish civilians." Egypt maintained a critical connection in all of this carnage.

Question: Can Egypt be trusted present-tense in anything freedom-worthy?
