From the Spanish language site Quepasa.com. in describing Hispanic protests of Mexifornia Governor Schwarzenegger’s [from today on: Arnold] push to repeal his state driver’s license for illegal aliens law [SB60]:
“…The protestors, who are seeking to capture Schwarzenegger's attention, announced that this December 12 they would launch a campaign geared at bringing about an economic and work stoppage. Among the suggested activities are not making money remittances to Mexico, not working in restaurants, hotels or other service industries and not patronizing entertainment facilities.
"Upcoming December 12 we will paralyze Los Angeles and the State with our protests, a sign of our change in strategy, using our personal and family economy to demand that these attacks be ceased," stated Nativo López, the leader of the Mexican-Latin American Brotherhood organization, in an interview by the Mexican daily "El Universal"…”
* While it is not clear to how Latinos “not making money remittances to Mexico” is a threat to law abiding Americans or Arnold, we like the concept of an “economic and work stoppage.”
It is an idea to remember. “A change in strategy” may in fact be just what is needed. Using American citizens “personal and family economy to demand” that the law be enforced sounds workable to us. A daylong nationwide work stoppage of tax-paying citizens might just be an effective tool to be used in the future. It may capture the attention of Karl Rove, President Bush and the other politicians pandering to the illegal lobby. Not sending money to Mexico would only be a bonus…
*Further: if it is a country where Spanish is spoken, laws are ignored, and Mexican citizens can legally live, vote and drive that illegals are demanding - may we suggest…Mexico?

Headline from the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Georgia Senator Zell Miller joining the “controversial movement” by fellow Georgia lawmaker Charlie Norwood [“CLEAR ACT”] to help federal immigration officers enforce immigration law:
“MILLER TARGETS ILLEGAL ALIENS” ----- * They say that like it is a bad thing. Controversial to whom? Criminals? - We approve, and we are not alarmed. More please.

Walter Kolbe, brother of U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe on his brother’s proposal in congress to establish a new “guest worker program” [read: amnesty]:"I strongly believe Jim has been one of the few voices in the wilderness concerning the problems we have here along the border with Mexico," Walter Kolbe said. "But this latest attempt at legislation is where we part company”…* Us too, Mr. Kolbe.
More: Walter Kolbe said his brother's proposal "is a slap in the face to people who struggled so hard to come to America legally, lead productive lives, raise families and proudly become citizens of the United States of America." * It is, Mr. Kolbe. Thanks.
Coming from a family of lifelong Republicans, Walter Kolbe said it is hard to disagree with his brother. "I feel Jim is out of touch with the people on this subject," he said.
*Wrong brother in Congress?

From the Washington Times: An Iowa lawyer has filed a lawsuit to obtain drivers' licenses for thousands of illegal immigrants whom he contends have been treated unfairly.
The Des Moines Register reported Thursday Curt Daniels, who said he is suing on behalf of both legal and illegal residents, is seeking a court order that would force state officials to grant licenses without requiring applicants to have a Social Security number.
The lawsuit claims illegal immigrants have been denied equal protection of the law by Iowa's refusal to let them drive legally.
*We are aware of the glaring lack of “equal protection” in this matter, but we are living here on planet Earth, and we hope that Iowa lawyer Daniels has a safe re-entry, and then a ticket [one-way] to Mexico, where he will be appreciated for his Patriotism and brilliant intellect. We further hope that he stops using words for which he has no understanding. “Law” and “legal” leap to mind.

Joe Guzzardi [one of our heroes] in a piece on www.VDARE.com:
In October, U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi headed a Congressional delegation of nogoodniks—Representatives David Hobson (R-OH); Ciro Rodriguez (D-TX), Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus; Sam Farr (D-CA); Hilda Solis (D-CA); and Linda Sanchez (D-CA). — to meet with Mexican President Vicente Fox on his home turf.
Purpose: butt kissing.
*Joe is a great Gentleman, and left out the word “Treasonous” in his short explanation of Pelosi’s purpose. Glad to help, Joe.
