Planned Parenthood's Unsolicited Fiction Mailing
MichNews.com-- It is not very often that I laugh out loud when receiving mail, but Planned Parenthood gave me that experience last week. They mailed a letter to my household that read more like a delusional fiction missive than the pathetic request for a donation that it shamelessly was. What made me laugh, of course, is the ludicrous irony I held in my hand. Here we have the world’s chief abortion advocacy group, dubbed “Abortion Central” by the Wall Street Journal, whose percent share of the abortions committed has quadrupled in the last 20 years, sending my home a letter espousing its noble deeds and mission and asking for my money. As the dark anniversary of Roe v. Wade approached, I realized that this pathetic mailing crystallized the entire abortion industry and lobby’s surreal delusion regarding what it does and this nation’s perception of what it does.

MichNews.com-- One of my favorite comedy films is The Court Jester starring Danny Kaye as a bungling jester who somehow becomes a hero saving a kingdom by protecting and preserving the rightful heir to the throne, an infant, against the clutches of those evil men who have murdered the heir’s entire family. Perhaps the most famous line in that film is uttered repeatedly in a hilarious exchange between Kaye and actress Mildred Natwick. Trying to remember the rhyme informing him of which cup holds poison, Kaye struggles to recall that “The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!"
