Just ahead of us is a crossroads, a fork in the path that has two very different directions for us to choose. At this writing it has become increasingly clear that this event has moved beyond the candidates. Sure, we still see the groupie media fawning over their beloved Obama and frowning at McCain and Palin. Yes, only a blind imbecile, or a delusional liberal, can deny the blatant favoritism lavished upon Obama by such cesspools of bias as CNN, MSNBC, CBS and most, if not all, rags of Democratic propaganda such as the New York Times and its assorted partners in the print media.

Now that I think of it, I guess Hillabeans was merely demonstrating another of her endless skills. In addition to being a military expert, Bible scholar, part-time Jew, part-time Latino, hunting expert, Yankees fan and all the rest of her unique talents, Hillary was proving herself to be a prophet as well. After all, she did, in fact, lose to her African-American opponent just like Rocky did.

MichNews.com-- We have all seen the old movies where a traveling peddler hypnotizes and hoodwinks half a town into buying snake oil or a magic tonic which restores beauty, health, peace of mind and cleans pots as well. We have also seen those horror movies where legions of victims decide that hitchhiking on a lonely stretch of road or running toward that eerie mansion is a good idea. Most likely, we sat there grinning, munching on our popcorn and wondering who thought portraying such utter mass stupidity and naïveté was a realistic effort. Judging from this election season, we should wipe that grin off our faces.

MichNews.com-- It is really a shame. My family enjoys the cultural programs on PBS, where you find theatre and arts which are non-existent elsewhere. Any fan of musical theatre, for example, can appreciate the outstanding Broadway programs which yearly grace the PBS screen. That is why, on one level, one can appreciate the value of having Congress use tax dollars to support such artistic and cultural PBS fare.
