Are We Mad Or Just Blind To History?

I have often wondered how and why the once powerful German Jews, who at one time controlled the German banking system and much of the European economy, let themselves be oppressed and slaughtered by a movement that at the time it posted its 25 point program which included outright anti-Jewish agenda comprised of less then 2000 members. It has often been stated through the years that the Jewish people went quietly like sheep unto their slaughter. In the mist of my thought process on this subject, I have always believed that there must be events which I am unaware of and if known would explain their actions or possibly more correctly stated, lack of action. As I observed, the events of the last election, I began to wonder if it was because they are just simply liberal thinking people and as such ignored the negative aspects of the radical movement.
The study of history is a discipline devoted to understanding events of our past, with the hope of not repeating the mistakes that caused undesirable outcomes. The study of Hitler's rise to power forces several occurrences to stand out above the rest. Hitler used a poor economy and promises of better economic times to help win support for his movement. He united his followers by a common hatred. Hitler used a youth movement to shape the minds of those he would need to support him in the future. Hitler was such a charismatic speaker that those who heard him were mesmerized by his words. He nationalized institutions, such as banking to increase his control. He cleverly twisted facts to place them in a light favorable to his movement. He carefully concealed events of his past and his heritage to prevent opponents from using them against him. By the time the undeniable truth that a monster had risen to power was known it was too late to stop Hitler. Has history been repeated?
Obama too, has used a bad economy to aid in his rise to power. I find it extremely troubling that conditions that had existed in the economy for a number of years became crises within days of McCain taking a slight lead over Obama in the polls. I find it even more fascinating the Democrats who caused these problems were able to successfully use a propaganda campaign to make the events appear to be caused by the Bush administration. This is despite the fact that if one was to spend only a few minutes searching youtub.com you could watch Democrats kill Republican attempts to prevent the crises. Still most Americans are convinced Bush caused them. Accordingly, Obama was able to use Bush as a target for a unified movement of hatred, that he was than able to impute on McCain, just as Hitler used the Jews. Obama has called for a national youth origination which he will require all youths to serve in. Like Hitler, Obama is able to mesmerize people with his words. Obama intends to nationalize many components of our economy. Also like Hitler, Obama has been careful to prevent the public from learning of his past.
During the campaign, Obama made known his desire to obtain peace with radical Islamic leaders, to the extent that he would sit down and talk with the leaders of terrorist nations. All the while, Americans, including the Jewish population in America seemed to ignore the simple fact that the greatest obstacle standing in the way of peace with these nations is our support of Israel.
Despite the risk, overwhelming numbers of Americans accepted and worshiped Obama as their Messiah, just as the Germans sit quietly by as Hitler exterminated millions. Out of fairness, the people of the 1930's should, to some extent, be forgiven for their inaction because it was difficult at the time to predict how Hitler's rise to power would result in the destruction of so many. Those who helped elect Obama however, should not benefit or deserve forgiveness if the destruction of Israel results from the election of Obama. Hindsight is 20/20. The signs were there. Many people shouted the warnings, and yet many failed to heed the lessons of our past. While its true that there is no way to know for certain the outcome of what has happened, its undeniable that it is too late to stop the destruction of the Jewish people if Obama is the monster many fear he is.
All it would take for the destruction of Israel to be placed in motion is for the president of the United States to issue a statement that he will not use American combat troops to intervene on behalf of Israel. For all we know, Obama has already written a paper calling for the president to do just that and this explains why Obama refused to allow his collage works to be examined during his campaign.
While admittedly the prediction of the destruction of Israel requires a great deal of speculation based on unknown facts, its undeniable that in the past the American public, out of caution, rejected candidates who refused to allow their pasts to be examined particularly candidates who showed so many troubling tendencies. This was a mistake, I hope will never be repeated or result in disaster for the Jewish people.
