By now it is quite obvious that John McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin was a punch in the stomach to liberals and their mascot media. No sooner had the choice been announced when the Left’s pundits and propaganda machine began spitting out every piece of dirt, concern, horror and warning that they could concoct. What is most amazing, however, is the way that this witty, assertive and tough hockey mom has galvanized the conservative base and done nothing but serve turmoil on America’s resident Marxists.
Sarah is Quicksand
Apart from her often-discussed Reagan characteristics, Sarah has become the Left’s quicksand. The more they bash and defame her with pathetic gossip, despicable lies and vile accusations, the more people seem to embrace her. One cannot go to the supermarket without seeing rag after rag raging with headlines proclaiming her “lies, scandals and cover-ups.” It is virtually impossible to read most newspapers without being mugged with story after story questioning Palin’s “experience” and “qualification” for the job.
What is most gratifying, however, is the impression that most of this mud is not working. Despite our occasional despair that the American public’s imbecile quotient is steadily rising, there are still many people out there, it seems, who can smell desperation, deception and dirty pool when they face it.
We are thus left with an image of two pathetic partners, liberals and their media, swiping and swinging in a soup of their own lies and distortions, sinking deeper and deeper into their own dirt with each vile attack on Palin.
Sarah is Litmus Paper
As pathetic as the Left’s efforts to bring down Sarah have been, her ability to become a litmus measure of their absurdity is even more compelling. We have always known that the mainstream media knows no other bed than that which they share with the Left. We have often witnessed that media’s absurd denials of what is plainly obvious. It is not everyday, however, that we get to see one person crystallize that bias, that vile hypocrisy and selective presentation of “news”.
It is almost as if the Left hates Sarah Palin so much that it cannot contain itself enough to bother with discretion. They make their disdain for this woman so obvious that it is palpable. Their media is no exception. Despite their past frowns when accused of liberal bias, these liberal groupies in journalist garb are simply dripping with obvious and plain dislike for Sarah. This disdain is to her credit, as it merely confirms her power as a conservative symbol with great potential for future importance. The more fools like Gloria
and NOW spew their hatred for this outstanding woman, for example, the more we are reminded that these radical feminists are more representative of dysfunctional femininity than anything else.
Palin seems to have the capacity to draw out every radical, every fanatic and every dark trait that the Left has ever embraced. She is the flame and they are the pathetic flies obsessed with circling her. As discussed above, the closer these people approach her, the more the bright light of truth reveals what they really are, and the sight is as ugly as we expected.
Sarah is Their Nightmare
I once read that Fidel Castro hates Gloria Estefan because she is a walking repudiation of everything he stands for. Her story, her journey and her success mock his lies, his evil and his harm to democracy.
Is this not the case with liberals, their lapdog media and Sarah Palin? Does she not embody every reason these fools are wrong for America? Does she not reveal for all to see just how hypocritical, superficial and vile these people can be? Here we have Leftist scarecrows like Peggy Noonan and Gloria Steinem mocking Sarah’s qualifications while Sarah has made more significant executive decisions in one year than these birds will ever make in a lifetime.
Of course Sarah Palin is their nightmare. She is bright, articulate, witty, beautiful, full of integrity, passionately patriotic and courageous. She represents power while glowing with compassion for unborn and disabled children. All of this while being conservative.
Simply put, Sarah Palin reveals the lies, the hypocrisy and the sinister treachery of the radical Left for all to see. That Left is very uncomfortable in the bright light of accuracy, truth and objective investigation. Its hypocrisy and corruption simmers beneath the surface of its arrogant pretensions and elitist attitudes.
They pretend to wave the flag while spitting on it. They propose to protect the weak and voiceless while defending the right to snuff them out. They feign a love for a country they mock and disdain. They arrogantly inform us of just when they began to feel pride for a country they should be thanking for on their knees. They claim to seek justice while treating criminals better than victims. They are all of this and more, and Sarah Palin puts a flashlight on their true nature.
Conclusion
Imagine for one second that Sarah Palin mispronounced the name of the Penn State mascot, the Nitanny Lion. Barack Obama called the Penn State sports teams the “Nitally Lions” and we barely heard a peep out of the hypocritical, biased media. If Sarah Palin had made the same mistake, we would have heard dozens of Leftist pundits and mainstream media hypocrites exclaim her stupidity, inexperience and ignorance.
David Letterman would have shown ten videos of Sarah’s verbal miscue, and she would have been the target of “The Top Ten Words Sarah Palin Cannot Pronounce”.
Such is the despicable, vile and hypocritical bias of the Left and its mistress mainstream media. Faced with a formidable foe in Sarah Palin, these fools resort to the answer that best fits their own competence, integrity and intelligence; they hurl lies and biased claims at her.
With America’s most important election in decades approaching, we can only hope and pray that enough undecided and independent voters discover the truth about the Left, their media and Sarah Palin. In the meantime, we can watch this hockey mom body-check the Left into the quicksand of their own lies, where they can sink further and further into the pit of their own making.
