As the Fifth anniversary of what the media call "The Iraq War" arrived, we saw protest marches across the nation against the war. The protestors and anti-war people showed fake coffins draped with American flags. These protest marches were organized and financed by left-wing followers of organizations such as Move0n.org, which is, itself, financed according to the Washington Post, by wealthy liberals. They include financier George Soros who gave $1.46 million to MoveOn.org Voter Fund (in the form of matching funds to recruit additional small donors); Peter B. Lewis, chief executive of the Progressive Corp., who gave $500,000 to MoveOn.org Voter Fund; and Linda Pritzker, of the Hyatt hotel family, and her Sustainable World Corp., who gave $4 million to the joint fundraising committee." The Iraq Peace Fund is also an effort of the Tides Foundation.
Calling it "The Iraq War" is really a misnomer fostered by the media. We are not at war with Iraq anymore! We were, when we went there to oust Saddam Hussein in order to stop his building of WMDs and his financing of al Qaeda terrorism in the world and Hamas suicide bombers in Israel. Our main reason, however, was the necessity of having a presence in the Middle East so that we could fight the real war of global terrorism that had killed three thousand innocent American civilians on 9/11, 2001 The war against Saddam was won in 21 days after our "Shock and Awe" destruction.
Then, the al Qaeda Sunnis and the Iranian Shiites, along with the Syrian Hezbollah forces realizing what we were doing, immediately started funneling mercenaries across the Syrian border to foment strife and insurgency between the Iraqi Sunnis and Shiites, hoping to cause a civil war in Iraq. This failed and the Iraqis solidified with us against al Qaeda and became our allies, with its new government pleading with us to stay and help them win against the global terrorists!
Meanwhile, we were building the largest-ever embassy in Iraq to house our first listening post in the heart of the Middle East. For the first time since our CIA had been dismantled by the Church Committee during the Carter administration, we were finally able to protect our country against more terrorist attacks. Had we not done this, how many more 9/11s would we have had to suffer? How many more innocent American women, children and men would have been slaughtered here in the United States?
The Democrat presidential candidates like to talk about how much money we are spending on our war against the Islamic terrorists and how we could use it if we brought home our troops. They never talk about the horrendous economic loss we would suffer if one major bomb went off again in New York or Los Angeles once the terrorists took over Iraq as their new staging place in this war. Let us not forget that the Islam fanatics want to kill all Christians and Jews in America and that they already have madrassas, mosques and sleeper cells here in the United States!
Bin Laden had learned from the Viet Cong that American can be defeated NOT through the battlefield, but through media pictures of flag-draped coffins and other terrorist activities that would cause the public to demand that the war be stopped and all the troops be brought home. Our politicians tend to act not by what is best for this nation, but rather what will get them re-elected! So they answer only to polls ---yes, Vox Populi rules now, not our elected representatives! Thus all the good being accomplished in Iraq was hidden by most of the media while only those things that would help the propaganda machine were shown over and over again!
It took five years for 4,000 Americans to be killed in Iraq and yet during WWII, we could lose that many in a day! Total during the four years of WWII 1941-1945 ---- 408,306 killed ---- 670,846 Wounded
Had the people back then acted as cowardly as the people are acting today, we might be flying a Swastika or a Rising Sun flag over our Nation’s Capitol today instead of the Red, White and Blue!
Current FBI statistics show that between 16,000 and 17,000 Americans are MURDERED each year here in the United States! This does not count accidents, only actual criminal murders! Where are the pictures of these coffins? Where are the protest marches regarding these yearly kills? I suspect the protestors don’t even know these things, nor their American history.
All this comes down to one basic fact. We will NOT be voting for a just a President this November. We will be voting, instead, for the future of this nation ---for surrender to global terrorism --- or --- for this country to remain a true Republic of freedom by stopping the takeover of this country by Islamics, Socialists and Communists, some of whom may already have been elected to our Congress or, as happened in the 50s, working in the State Department! Your vote will never be more important than it will be this November!
