Liberals Will Run From Abortion in Samuel Alito Ads
By NewsWires
MichNews.com

Nov 15, 2005

Liberals groups opposing the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court are attempting to mask their true anti-life agenda by shifting focus onto topics other than abortion in television ads that will soon flood cable networks.

The coalition of extreme left-wing liberal groups, which includes the AFL-CIO, NAACP, People for the American Way, and the Alliance for Justice, plan to spend millions of dollars on ads that spotlight employment discrimination and police searches, but will mention nothing about the key matter of abortion. The coalition is supported by pro-abortion groups such as NARAL and Planned Parenthood.

"The liberals are afraid to broach the subject of abortion because they know it is a looser for them," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "The other issues are merely a smoke screen meant to take our minds off the paramount matter of our times -- the killing of innocent babies through abortion."

"When extreme leftists must resort to smoke-and-mirror tactics, it proves they are out of touch with the wishes of mainstream
America. We believe strongly that the American people will not fall for this subterfuge, and predict that Alito will be confirmed to fill the vacancy left by Justice O'Conner," said Newman.
