THE UN-DEMOCRATIC PARTY
By Judson Cox
Sep 17, 2003

The competition of democracy and republicanism has long been the main contention between the parties bearing those names. Republicans side with our founding fathers in the belief that ours is a government of laws, not of men. The flaws of democracy can be summed up in Alexis De Tocquevilles argument that a democracy can last only until the citizens realize they can vote themselves money from the treasury. For this reason, we elect leaders to allocate funds and make decisions that affect the nation, we have separated powers of government to hold each other in check, we hold the Constitution as our legal standard (rather than the whims of a majority of citizens), and we employ the Electoral College system in presidential elections.

Historically, democrats have sought to undermine our nations republican system. They have used class warfare rhetoric to implement a myriad of social programs that take funds from the treasury and redistribute them. Citing "the will of the people," they have erected enormous bureaucracies that regulates nearly every aspect of American life. Moreover, they have packed the courts with activist judges who care nothing for the Constitution or the rule of law.

The Democratic Party attempts to eradicate republicanism from our system of governance, but they also seek to undermine the democratic nature of our elections. From its nascence, the Democratic Party denied the vote to those of whom they disapprove, and to win through less than legal means. Their Party was the party of the Ku Klux Klan, and is still represented by former Klansman, Senator Robert Byrd. The democrats were the party of segregation that prevented minorities from voting by any means, even lynching. Now, they are the party of the Congressional Black Caucus (which allows no representatives of other races or parties). The Republican Party would never institute such an inherently racist organization, but imagine the outrage if there was a Congressional White Caucus! Racists and classists unite under the democratic banner to expand the personal power of individual members and constituency groups. This coalition has stolen many elections.

Democratic election fraud is so common place as to be a national joke. The democrats always carry the "graveyard vote," the politically active deceased who were so influential in winning Illinois for Kennedy. They give their election workers "walking around money" to buy votes. They rent church vans for enormous sums, in return for the votes of the congregation. They ply the homeless with cigarettes and liquor. They drive illegal immigrants to the polls and assist them with ballots they often cant even read. If a poll worker objects to such obvious violations of law, the democrat threatens him with allegations of racism and law suits. Democrats are encouraged to "vote early and vote often." Democratic election fraud is tolerated by intimidated and spineless republicans.

Democrats care nothing for the will of the people. They feign outrage over the California Gubernatorial recall, which is supported by around 60% of Californians. They cry foul over redistricting in Texas (which is required after every census to erase out-dated and gerrymandered districts), which would allow the almost universally republican citizens of Texas to elect representatives of their choice. They still whine over the 2000 Presidential election, even though every count of the Florida vote showed President Bush to be the winner (even the year long New York Times recount). They never mention that it was democrats who sought to disenfranchise our military serving over-seas, and to count votes for Pat Buchanan as "mistaken" votes for Al Gore! When Richard Nixon beat George McGovern in a land-slide, the democrats claimed it was due to republican trickery. When Ronald Reagan beat Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale in similar blow outs, they claimed the American people fell for "slick marketing." When republicans gained control of the House in the "Republican Revolution," democrats said the voters "threw a temper tantrum."

The recurrent theme among democrats is that they know what is best for us. They believe themselves to be an anointed elite, destined to rule the ignorant masses. To achieve this end, they will use any means - from bigotry to criminal fraud. Just today, three judges on the 9th Circuit Court (all appointed by democrats) ruled that the California Recall election could not be held as scheduled because some counties use punch card voting machines. One of the justices cited a "study" that claimed to show that "minorities" are just too stupid to be able to use such voting machines. Oddly enough, the same machines were used to elect democratic Governor Gray Davis only last year. All that has changed is the uniformity of skin color; democrats still see slaves on their plantation, requiring the masters benevolence while they usurp the fruits of our labor. Never forget to which party Abraham Lincoln belonged!
