Miss Australia “Missed” The Point

I do not usually write about beauty pageants, but I found the outcome of this year's Miss Universe Pageant too amusing to ignore. Jesinta Campbell of Australia has claimed that her festive national dress was tampered with in a “sabotage” attempt, but this Miss from down under need not look any further for sabotage than the supposedly key final question of the pageant, where each of the final five contestants chooses the name of a judge at random and attempts to answer that judge's question. We assume that this final part of the pageant is some lame attempt to inject a bit of cerebral validity to the proceedings, lest anyone think that this event is all beauty and no brains. I say “lame” because we all know that some of these questions and most of those answers are as superficial as can be, if not downright pathetic or even embarrassing.
Age of Obama Is Time for Contrition, But Obama and The Times Should Be Contrite, Not Pope Benedict

It's Holy Week. so the anti-Catholic The New York Times posted a hit piece titled "A Time for Contrition" by Ross Douthat.
Tebow ad flap and result merely prove how pathetic pro-abortion groups are

All we heard amid the Super Bowl buildup is how the ad by Focus on The Family featuring Tim Tebow and his mother was an outrageous attempt to hijack America's showcase sporting event to push a political and religious agenda. Liberal mainstream media ( sorry for the unnecessary use of an adjective) outlets whined how this game was no place to jam a pro-life message down throats more interested in eating chips and salsa or cheering a favored team.
When It Comes To The Sanctity of Life, Obama & The Democrats Burn The Candle at Both Ends

If there are two things one can count on Barack Obama and his minions to exhibit, it is a complete disregard for the truth and a similar disregard for the sanctity of human life.
Sotomayor Flap Once Again Proves That Liberal Hypocrisy is Best Served with Whine and Sleaze

Barack Obama goes on and on about promoting unity and reducing divisive talk. He chose Sonia Sotomayor, whose complete 2001 Berkeley words were:
"Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences, a possibility I abhor less or discount less than my colleague Judge (Miriam) Cedarbaum, our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging. Justice (Sandra Day) O'Connor has often been cited as saying that a wise old man and wise old woman will reach the same conclusion in deciding cases. I am … not so sure that I agree with the statement… I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

When Pilate asked Christ if he were really a king, Christ answered him: (John 18:37-38) "You say I am a king. For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."

It has become yet another rite of Spring, not as colorful as baseball or as welcomed as warmer weather. In fact, it should safely push allergies to second place as a scourge of the season. Every year, as predictably as the tax deadline and as reliably as spring break, the baby killers at Planned Parenthood drag out their gall and ask us to donate to their organization in honor of, get this, Mother’s Day!
To Men and Those Who Love Them

I usually come to this site writing about conservative values and liberal rationalizations, but this time I do so as a prostate cancer survivor. In January of this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and thus began the hellish roller-coaster that all men so diagnosed undergo between that diagnosis and the eventual treatment. I was not supposed to get this thing. After all, I am not yet 50 years old, have no family history of cancer, and seemed in good health. According to the guidelines, my elevated blood PSA was perhaps a sign of the enlarged prostate so many men face as they approach half a century of time on this rock in space. The problem with prostate cancer, with all cancer for that matter, is that it does not know what “supposed to happen” means.

If you think that pondering liberal spew in isolation is a tragically comical exercise in irrational waste, try combining two such gems and you will get a month's supply of stupidity rarely seen right of the political line.
Octuplet Story Illustrates This Nation’s Twisted Hypocrisy and Selective Outrage

By now everyone has heard the story of Nadya Suleman, the unwed mother living with her parents who recently had octuplets as a result of fertility treatments despite already having children. While I am not here to in any way justify what this woman and her doctor have done, I would like to point out this society and media’s despicable hypocrisy yet again.
